Modern Mediterranean

Designed for a young family with influences from the Eastern Mediterranean, this “clean and simple” modern home sits on a small lot in an established neighborhood. Thick arches and parapet gable ends borrow design from Greece, Cyprus and Morocco. It feels sturdy but is still bright and airy.

The Great Room is the heart of the house and the family-oriented kitchen and dining space is the center of activity. The kitchen has a generous island, some floating shelves, a huge pantry and the dining space has a banquette with built-in seating. There’s a large built-in shelving unit in the guest suite and built-in storage units that make creative use of the dead space under the stairs. 

The first floor Guest Suite and Den provide a little seclusion for guests or working from home. Upstairs, the Owners’ Suite is also separated from the kids’ bedrooms. Check out the large storage spaces that are tucked away on the upper level.
